Building Dreams

Over 50 years of combined experience building our clients' dreams

Den, Cave, and Cabin brings luxury living to small spaces (typically 400 square feet or less). However, what one person might consider luxurious, another might consider downright primitive. In this case, we use the word luxury in our descriptions to encompass whatever ideas our clients may bring to us as part of their vision.

Whether you call it a man cave, diva den, wet bar, wine cellar, zoom room, pet palace, lady lair, guyrage, zen den, chef shanty, kid crib, clan quarters, she shed, etc., our team uses it's expertise and extensive knowledge of building materials and practices to bring our clients ideas and dreams into reality. Instead of remodeling your entire house, we focus on the individual rooms that matter the most to you.

Our clients have included:

Avid outdoorsmen and women that wanted to showcase their trophies and love of the outdoors.

Wine, beer, and distilled spirit connoisseurs, as well as cigar aficionados, that love to entertain and host gatherings.

Book lovers that needed a quiet and comfortable library where they could display and enjoy their impressive collection of first editions.

Hardcore preppers that wanted to disappear into the mountains.

Amature and professional sports players and fanatics.

Musicians, hobbyists, collectors, and many more.

Den, Cave, and Cabin is not for everyone. The nature of some of our projects may include details or designs that are private, and considered lewd or risqué by some. We do not partake in illegal activities. We most certainly do not judge our clients' vices. We take our clients' privacy very seriously. We will not and do not share our clients information or details of their projects.

David Buhrow

29 years experience, Berlin, WI

Production and Design (C.O.O.)

David's professional career began right out of high school as a genuine logger which gave him a unique education of the lumber industry by starting at the very beginning. Interestingly, the gentleman that David worked for in the logging industry took the summers off due to severe hay fever, which gave David the opportunity to take a summer job with a nation wide post frame building contractor to fill in the gap between the seasons of his logging career. The following summer David worked for a concrete contractor. The summer after that it was spent working for nationwide home improvement retailer. While working at the home improvement store Dave found a niche helping some of his customers design, build, and install some of their small projects on the side. By the next summer David had a dedicated clientele allowing him to pursue a full time business as a general contractor and woodworker. The rest, as they say, is history. Since then, Dave has dedicated his life to providing high quality products for his customers all across the country.

Charity Buhrow

27 years experience, Berlin, WI

Finishing, Marketing, Management (C.E.O.)

The construction industry is a tough game for anyone, it's even tougher for a woman. Let's face it, most of it is just plain bull work. As a woman, if you're going to make a name for yourself in this business you're going to have to work extra hard and show those boys what you're made of. Sugar and spice just isn't going to cut it. You have to be tough as nails, have thick skin, big shoulders and a smart-ass attitude to put up with whatever gets thrown at you. Charity, is every bit of that and more. First off, she was practically born into the industry having been mentored and trained by her father, who is a master carpenter and cabinet builder with nearly 50 years of experience. Charity has spent years researching and developing some of the most durable and beautiful wood finishing processes in the industry. Add to all of that, her years of experience in management, and it's no wonder why she is called "Boss". Don't let the pretty face and modest attitude fool you, it's easy to see why Charity can easily claim to be one of the best finishers in the business and leads our team to be the best in the business.

David Dryden

14 years experience, Wisconsin

Technology (C.T.O.)

David, a.k.a. Mustache Man, is our technology guru. He has also mastered the mustache. Add to that his plethora of other skills, like his Navy training in technology, or his skills in black smithing, mead making, foraging and we can't forget his phenomenal client services skills, we can safely say we have one of the best in the industry designing our tech systems that go into our builds. Mustache Man prefers to be in the lab, creating, designing and making sure our boujee builds are so dependable that our clients will never need us again. While he understands sometimes, shit happens, he has designed and created systems for pretty much every scenario we could throw at him. And our team have come up with some pretty crazy scenarios for him. With David designing client systems to fit exactly what is desired and needed, no one ever has to worry about safety, security and luxury.

Justin Bentley

14 years experience, Phoenix, AZ

Sales and Marketing (C.M.O.)

Justin, or as our team refers to him, "B", is our head of Sales and Marketing. His 14 years of experience in management, and his lifelong experience in the sales, politics and law arenas blend with his palpable passion for creating the best experience for every one of our clients makes B a powerhouse. When our clients work with B, they are not only heard, they are cared for above and beyond anything they would ever expect. B is the physical embodiment of what Twisted Willows Outfitters was founded on. As your Outfitter for Life, B always makes damn sure our clients are completely set up, taken care of, and will never begin their own adventures anything short of 100% satisfied and prepared.

Are you ready to create?

Creating a space you can call your own, and you call them anything, like Man Caves, Diva Dens, Wine cellars, wet bars, or whatever else you can come up with, are what we consider luxury living spaces. They can be located just about anywhere. We don't subscribe to inside the box when it comes to creating a space that is your own. So, wherever you decide it will be located, we'll make sure that it reflects your personality, interests, and passions. Feel free to Contact Us to see how we can make that happen.

*We've also recently added Tiny Houses and Micro Dwellings to our lineup. These are definitely not the standard tiny anything. These are very "boujee", as we believe there is no need to sacrifice comfort, luxury and safety to live the micro lifestyle. Be sure to inquire about our boujee builds, because you might find these fit your desires and needs better than our caves, dens and luxury rooms.*
