Tiny Houses - Micro Living

custom indoor and outdoor living spaces designed around your passions

A Brief History

The Man Cave...

And Other Custom Luxury Living Spaces

It is believed that the term "Man Cave", was derived from the book "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus", which was published in 1993.

It's no secret that, in many relationships, women typically exhibit a certain amount of dominance and authority around the home governing the home's design and decoration. The term "Man Cave" is a metaphor used to pay homage to the male's sanctuary within the home. A place where he's free to do as he pleases and she has little to say about what hangs on the wall. Over the last few years this sanctuary concept has also become popular with the ladies as well, thus, the "Diva Den" and "She Shed" were born. Now this concept has expanded to include a number of different playful names and uses.

There are many different ideas about what function this sanctuary can serve, what it can look like, or where it's located. The overall idea is that, whatever it is or wherever it's located, it provides a special place of peace, relaxation, zen, luxury, and enjoyment. This is why we offer a wide variety of services to help meet the needs of our customers.

Some of these spaces include Man Caves, Diva Dens, She Sheds, Wine Cellars, Zoom Rooms, BBQ Pits, Wet Bars, Patios, Fire Pits, Pet Palaces, and Guyrages (garages) to name a few. Each space we help design and build is customized using our clients' passions and needs to create their idea of the ultimate luxury living space.

Tiny Houses...

And Other Micro Living Spaces

Tiny houses and micro-dwellings are not a new concept. The trend is just picking up pace thanks to social media. Throughout the late 1800's and early 1900's the "Shotgun Shack" was a popular dwelling choice for many blue collar families throughout the southern parts of the United States. Typically it was a small single story house that consisted of one or two small bedrooms and a larger single common area. Although cramped, it provided the necessary shelter and accommodations needed to survive. You've heard of "Little House on the Prairie", right?

Do you find yourself daydreaming about what it would be like to be able to live life free, on your own terms? Are you tired of the oversized house, the maintenance, the utility bills, or simply feeling stuck in one place? Do you find yourself wishing you could just not be living "their dream" that you have been force-fed your whole life?

When the recession hit the housing market in 2007-2009 the small house movement began to catch on as an idea of affordable and ecologically friendly housing. Since then the movement has become more mainstream and popular as many younger home buyers adopt a more minimalist and adventurist mindset.

You don't need to be "young" to own and live your dream. As a matter of fact, many retirees have given up the stick frame houses, traded in the RVs and are opting for eco-friendly, off-grid micro-dwellings for their retirements. There is no age limit on living your dream.

Since 2020, there has been a major increase in the desire to scale down our material belongings and live a bit more freely. Free from being chained to the idea we need a house that is too big to maintain, expensive, with too much clutter, and locked into a grid that is barely holding on as our society puts higher demands on it.

Living big in a tiny space doesn't mean you need to sacrifice those things you love, like hot water and electricity. Some of us like that whole, rustic, "roughing" it, camping life style, and some of us don't. That is perfectly OK and rather acceptable in the tiny house world.

Our micro dwellings, or as we like to call them, "boujee builds", do not sacrifice luxury, comfort, safety or security. We design and build these with the idea that anyone, anywhere can live in these. 100% independent, self contained, and every safety concern addressed and factored in.

Pet Palaces...

And Other Luxury Shelters for the 4-Legged Friends

As pet owners ourselves, we understand the level of importance furbabies hold in homes. We also understand the importance of keeping them safe and protected in extreme temperatures and conditions. Not to mention, it is fun to spoil them and give them a boujee life. We've sacrificed nothing in our Pet Palace designs. Is your dog suited for outside, yet you worry about heat, rain, or cold? No worries. We can add heating, a/c, and weatherproofing for their comfort (and your peace of mind). Is your cat an absolute queen and you want to give her a castle? Of course, we will only create the absolute best for her majesty. Your fluffy raccoon buddy needs their own escape pod for afternoon naps? We got you covered.

All Pet Palaces are designed and built with the same superb craftsmanship, materials and finishes we use on all of our products. Big or small, indoors or outdoors, furnished or unfurnished, your favorite furry friend will be living their absolute best life in their own Pet Palace.

*We do not discriminate. We can create on large scales for shelters, groomers, trainers, etc.*

"We should bring in an environmental attitude, and I think luxury should automatically be about sustainability and quality."
